World Music
Even more culture on Munich’s most beautiful cabaret stage
Since the renovation of our theatre and its reopening in 2014, we have had Munich’s most beautiful cabaret stage in the Silbersaal alongside the main theatre. Cultural diversity is visible here. World music concerts, classical salon evenings and dance events take place as part of the Welt im Silbersaal series. We also present German singer-songwriters.
World music – sounds from the most diverse countries
We present great world music concerts. Mulo Francel, who is celebrating international success with his band Quadro Nuevo, has joined us as a consultant, presenter and, of course, as a musician on stage.

Die Abenteurer
Musica della Strada
Archaic, unusual, intense: circus band or Neapolitan serenade players, Balkan wedding combo or chamber music woodwind ensemble, Apulian street banda or jazz lyricists obsessed with sound. Somewhere in between and a little bit of everything is the music of the trio Die Abenteurer. With simple melodic instruments and extravagant arrangements, three rhythmically pulsating bundles of energy defy the forces of the digital age. They get the most out of their horns with breakneck virtuosity – always curious about the sound possibilities of their unconventional instrumentation.
It all began in the late 1980s. As an unusual horn section in a school band. A lot has been done and experienced since then: the wind players set out on their own and roamed Mediterranean squares as street musicians, played their way through Berlin and London pubs, performed for Jehudi Menuhin’s Live Music Now foundation for socially marginalized groups, played as Trio Blasirello for seriously ill children, were guests on international festival stages and then went out into the world again, driven by an irrepressible desire to travel.

Marion & Sobo Band: Gomera
The Marion & Sobo Band creates its own modern style of global music and vocal jazz. They prove that handmade, acoustic music can not only be delicate, contemplative and colorful, but also highly energetic and powerful, even without drums. The German-French-Polish ensemble led by multilingual singer Marion Lenfant-Preus and guitarist Alexander “Sobo” Sobocinski presents a new album, “Gomera”. It is dedicated to the scenically and culturally diverse Canary Island of the same name, where the two have spent many winters and collected many song ideas. Stylistically colorful with gypsy jazz, rumba, Balkan and chanson sounds, linguistically diverse with songs that invite you to dance and dream. The band sings and plays with charm, humor and ease for a cross-cultural and cross-generational audience.

Note: This is a make-up date for a concert that was originally scheduled for November 28, 2024. Purchased tickets are still valid.

Die Drahtzieher
Experience gypsy music and South American boleros at their best. Exciting original compositions alternate with selected classics of the genre. The result is a unique esprit and an exhilarating concert experience!
The unmistakable sound of the wire-pullers artfully interweaves the influences of three well-traveled young musicians. The ensemble’s instruments meet at the highest level in imaginative arrangements. In the styles of gypsy music, valse musette and Latin-inspired bolero, deep melancholy meets fiery temperament. The trio creates the positive impression of the next generation, carrying the sonic tradition of their forefathers into the future in a fresh and cosmopolitan way.
With their recently released album “Mer Diga Men”, Die Drahtzieher make a powerful statement – musically, emotionally and culturally. The title comes from Romanes, the language of the Sinti and Roma, and means “We see each other”. The track of the same name was composed by rhythm guitarist Bobby Guttenberger in memory of his deceased brother. But the album goes far beyond personal memories: it combines past, present and future into a musical narrative.
