The Bavarian Burlesque Festival is entering its next round. In shows featuring different casts, international burlesque stars transport audiences into a world of sensuality and fantasy. With its magnificent chandeliers, stucco, and mirrors, the Silbersaal, a baroque gem dating from 1896, provides the perfect setting for this multifaceted stage genre. Clear the stage for glitter, glamour, and seduction.
A GLITTERING FESTIVAL OF SENSUAL, SINFUL LUST FOR LIFE
Hardly any other stage art is as diverse as burlesque. The original form of striptease packages the art of seduction in many different ways: whether erotic, elegant, mysterious, explosive, tongue-in-cheek or hilarious – there are no limits to the imagination. The focus is not on nudity, but rather on teasing, playing with the audience, the unusual costumes, the music and, last but not least, the story that each individual performance has to tell. Cleopantha from the UK and Albadoro Gala from Italy, two top international performers, will be headlining this year’s festival.
International Burlesque Stars
The three shows promise a veritable fireworks display of burlesque stage artistry—each time with a new, unique program. In addition to the glamorous headliners, numerous international burlesque stars will present their own individual interpretations of this sensual art form.
The Headliners
Italian artist Albadoro Gala interprets the art of burlesque with energy and authenticity. Her performances are like exquisite culinary creations, blending sensuality, wit, and explosive energy with precision and sophistication. British artist Cleopantha is an internationally renowned burlesque artist with colorful cultural roots. Through modeling, the professional dancer discovered the dazzling world of rhinestones, feathers, glitter, and glamour. In 2022, she ranked third among the “Most Influential Burlesque Artists.”
The hosts
The Thursday Opening Night will be hosted with wit and charm by Gisela Kloppke, our bearded lady from Berlin. Sandy Beach, “La Mama” of German burlesque, will host the Saturday Night Gala and the Best of Festival on Sunday. Sensuality and seduction are guaranteed!
