A documentary film and lots of live music
After many years, we are pleased to once again be part of the Long Night of Music as a venue. We offer a program in the large theater hall, where the Munich DOK.fest is taking place at this time. we will therefore show the documentary Von Vielen there, followed by a film discussion and a live performance. There will also be live concerts by three different formations starting at 8:00 p.m. in the Silbersaal.

“A hard pain” it was for the singer of the Allgäu band Rainer Von Vielen when they were suddenly no longer allowed to make music in the spring of 2020. Film director Eva Hartmann accompanies Rainer Hartmann and Michael Schönmetzer through the pandemic. With new jobs, innovative concert formats and loyal fans, the childhood friends keep the music alive – because they haven’t lost their dreams yet.

I Got Rhythm – The Sound of Old Hollywood

Home game for US soprano Julia Chalfin: In duo with pianist Maharani Chakrabarti she presents her personal favorite songs of the old Hollywood era. Let the two divas sweep you away with works such as “Tea For Two”, “I Got Rhythm”, “The Man I Love” and other unforgettable classics by Gershwin, Porter & Co.
Beers & Ballads – Rock- and Pop-Hits

Georg Kleesattel (Voc) and Martin Stellmacher (Piano) from the tribute band TOMMY WHO! present for the first time an excerpt from their duo program Beers & Ballads. World-famous hits by artists and bands like Peter Gabriel, David Bowie, Meat Loaf, the Eagles or Whitesnake are reduced to what makes the magic of these songs.

Los Sopranos – Acoustic Everything

Three voices, two guitars, one cajon – in short Los Sopranos. The three Munich gangster musicians do their acoustic, polyphonic and above all unique thing. A broadside of hits from Elvis, Deep Purple, Udo Lindenberg to Robbie Williams and Motörhead lets the clou succeed perfectly.
