The Elvis Presley Tribute Show
The Deutsche Theater München presents an event by Rock It Concerts
SPECIAL WITH PETER KRAUS
The Elvis Presley Tribute Show by and with Munich musician Chris Aron has been a regular source of enthusiasm in the always sold-out Silbersaal for several years. And the special in the big house with star guest Linda Gail Lewis was also euphorically celebrated by the audience and critics. We are therefore delighted to be able to present a second edition this year. And fans can look forward to a very special guest this time too, when the “German Elvis” Peter Kraus rocks the big stage together with Mark Summers, Chris Aron, the Croakers, Jacky Cleever and the Cento Sisters.
A SHOW AS IT WAS BACK THEN
Within just two years, from 1954 to 1956, Elvis had fundamentally changed the music world and laid the foundation for a unique career. The sales figures of the records, the fashion in connection with the music, merchandising – all this had never existed before. And just how big he would later become was not even imagined at the time. In 1956 Elvis was on tour with his own show – a mixture of concert and revue. And The Elvis Presley Tribute Show is structured just like those evenings. With one exception: back then, the King himself was on stage for a maximum of 30 minutes per evening, the rest of the time was taken up by support acts, show interludes and a host. In the large theatre hall, Peter Kraus, Mark “Elvis” Summers and his backing band will play for 60 minutes, twice as long, and perform songs from 1954 to 1963.
THE GERMAN ELVIS
In addition, a presenter and other acts will provide a rocking supporting programme and great entertainment. Chris Aron and The Croakers, for example, will not only be Mark Summers’ backing band, but will also open the show as a support act together with the Cento Sisters and Jacky Cleever, among others. This time the programme is rounded off by Peter Kraus! Who better to be the star guest in this show than the “German Elvis”. With hits like “Sugar baby”, “Tiger” and the German versions of the Elvis songs “Don’t be cruel” / “Oh wie gut” and “Teddy bear” / “Teddy Bär” he topped the German charts in the 50s. Since 1954 Peter Kraus has been a sought-after artist and entertainer – until today. The Elvis Presley Tribute Show is very proud to have this living legend as our star guest!
