The Elvis Presley Tribute Show
The Deutsches Theater München presents
THE ELVIS PRESLEY TRIBUTE SHOW
Due to current rules and regulations, the performance of The Elvis Presley Tribute Show on October 9th will be moved from the Silbersaal to the Grand Theatre Hall. Tickets remain their validity.
Homage to the King of rock’n’roll
The Elvis Presley Tribute Show takes audiences back to the times of the King of Rock’n’Roll. Munich-based musician Chris Aron will once again bring Mark Summers from England on stage to serve as the frontman. Summers won several Elvis-tribute-contests with his appearance and his incomparable voice. Audiences love his performances of hits like „Heartbreak Hotel“, „Hound Dog“, „Jailhouse Rock“ and „Don’t Be Cruel“. He is also good friends with Priscilla Presley.
a show just like Elvis’ performances
In just two years Elvis changed the music world between 1954 and 1956. Record-breaking sales figures, signature fashion in combination with rock’n’roll and merchandising – all that had never been seen before. And nobody knew back then how huge a star he was to become. In 1956, Elvis was on tour with his own show – a mixture of concert and revue. The Elvis Presley Tribute Show is just like Elvis‘ shows back then. With one exception: the King only ever appeared on stage for a maximum of 30 minutes per evening, the rest of the time was filled by support acts and a master of ceremonies. Mark „Elvis“ Summers and his band will play 60 minutes – twice as long as the King – and will perform songs from 1954 to 1963.
SPECIAL-GUEST ROCKIN PIANO SAM As JERRY LEE LEWIS
Rockin’ Piano Sam will perform a Jerry Lee Lewis Special as support act. Elvis and Jerry Lee met at SUN Records in Memphis and even recorded the spontaneous jam session “The Million Dollar Quartet” together. They’ll play together once again in the silver hall.
