PAGAGNINI
A very special Musical Comedy
THE DEVIL’S VIOLINIST AS INSPIRATION
The name says it all: The award-winning show PaGAGnini was inspired by the legendary Devil’s Violinist Niccolò Paganini – and the GAG is pivotal. Four musicians ignite a fireworks of fast-paced situational comedy, slapstick and musical brilliance. PaGAGnini is the first non-verbal universally comprehensible comedy show.
Bridging the gap between classical music and entertainment.
Paganini was one of the first star violinists. In the mid 19th century, he fascinated audiences with his wild concerts and unprecedented virtuosity. Which is why his life was turned into a movie with David Garrett in the title role. In PaGAGnini, solo violinist Thomas Potiron and his fellow string players masterfully interpret works of influential composers by classical music like Mozart, Chopin, Boccherini and, of course, Paganini – but also Rock and Folk songs. The musicians frolic around, dance and use their violins as guitars or drums. This is how bridging the gap between classical music and entertainment succeeds – because humour and music are the only two languages understood everywhere.
