Made in Germany – Live
The Deutsches Theater München presents a production by Hörbar UG
A musical journey through time
Songs are always little stories. And there are many of them in Made in Germany – Live. But the brand new show is also a (music) story itself. All the songs, presented by a live band led by Thorsten Nathan, are embedded in a journey through time that takes us right across the German pop and rock universe. The tour is guided by actor, author and cabaret artist Moses Wolff. And for the premiere of the show, two Bavarian music greats have been won over as special guests.
Something for every taste
Made in Germany – Live celebrates every kind of music from Germany and is thus colourful, varied and surprising. Of course, the well-known but also sometimes the somewhat underrated and lesser-known gems of German music history are featured. And in terms of genres, there is something for every taste and age. Here, even a rock-muffle becomes the biggest air guitar hero and a secret shower warbler becomes a sing-along pro.
Surprises and special guests
But Made in Germany – Live is not just a rousing concert with a fantastic band. In the course of the evening, the audience gets to know a cranky professor who travels through the years by means of a time machine, touching on musical milestones along the way. And because in every genius there is usually a little chaos, many laughs, surprising twists and quite possibly technical mishaps are pre-programmed. But there is also something for the heart. For the professor is searching for his great and lost love. Will he find her? Is she perhaps even hiding in the audience? Who is this mysterious woman? Questions upon questions that we cannot answer at this point. But we can already reveal one thing. Günther Sigl and Barney Murphy will be on board the time machine as special guests at the premiere of Made in Germany – Live.
Classics and current hits
Because songs by the Spider Murphy Gang are naturally also in the band’s programme for this journey through time, which is made up of classics and current hits. You can also look forward to hits by Udo Lindenberg, Sarah Conor, Andreas Bourani, Die Ärzte, Marius Müller-Westernhagen, Nena, Robin Schulz, Herbert Grönemeyer, Die Toten Hosen, Gregor Meyle, Karat, Die Fantastischen Vier, Ich & Ich, Johannes Oerding, BAP, Joris, Wir sind Helden and many more.
