Deutsches Theater München presents an event by Pirol Productions Company in collaboration with the Festspielhaus Neuschwanstein
3 generations – 2 hearts – 1 great love
In Ein bisschen Frieden, hit composer Ralph Siegel tells the dramatic and romantic love story between an East German rocker and a West German hippie girl. With touching songs and rousing dance scenes, a 30-strong ensemble is now bringing the musical to the stage in Munich for the first time.
NO WALL CAN KEEP LOVE APART
In the “Summer of Love” in 1967, rock musician Ricky and hippie girl Elisabeth fall in love. But the division of Germany tragically destroys their young love. But no wall in the world can permanently separate true love: With the help of their children and grandchildren, Ricky and Elisabeth try to find each other again years later.
A PIECE (ABOUT) GERMAN HISTORY
Ralph Siegel’s Ein bisschen Frieden is not a musical about Nicole, who won the ESC in 1982 with Siegel’s song of the same name. Rather, it tells of a decisive phase in German history (book: Ronald Kruschak), when the Wall separated many families and friends with brute political force. Naturally, the composer has nevertheless given what is probably the most successful song of his career a place in the musical.
A DREAM COMES TRUE
In addition to other well-known songs by Ralph Siegel, there are numerous new compositions that he has written especially for this musical. Sometimes in country, sometimes in rock or pop style, together they form the soundtrack to this story about a great and seemingly impossible love. The musical celebrated a successful, acclaimed premiere at the Festspielhaus Füssen last year. For the successful composer Ralph Siegel, the dream of performing the musical in his native city of Munich is now coming true.
TOP-CLASS STARS ON THE STAGE
The audience can look forward to a 30-strong ensemble with top-class stars such as Tim Wilhelm (lead singer of Münchner Freiheit), Annika & Heinz Hönig, Simone Ballack, and many well-known musical actors and actresses such as Alexander Kerbst (Falco), Jennifer Siemann (Storm of Love) Madeleine Haipt (Zeppelin, Beauty and the Beast), Dan Lucas (Jack the Ripper), Sonia Farke (Behind Bars and various other musicals), Henriette Farke (The Ripper), Henriette Farke (The Ripper) and many more.
