The Jasmin Bayer Quintet proves that a large orchestra is not necessary for Broadway songs to have their effect. In the stylish ambience of the Silbersaal, the jazz singer and her ensemble present well-known musical songs and German songs of the past century. Compositions by Peter Kreuder, Duke Ellington, Friedrich Hollaender and other greats invite you to dream.
German songs and musical songs of the last 100 years
Jasmin Bayer is a german jazz singer, composer and songwriter. Together with pianist, composer and arranger Davide Roberts, she founded a jazz formation in 2014, which today also includes double bassist Manolo Díaz, trumpeter Florian Brandl and drummer Hajo von Hadeln. Her debut album “Summer Melodies” in 2016 was followed by “The Green Unicorn” in 2018 and “Merry Christmas Baby” in 2021.
With their new stage program “From Berlin to Broadway”, the perfectly coordinated quintet presents chansons and German songs from the past century to well-known musical songs. The compositions by Ralf Benatzky, Friedrich Hollaender, Peter Kreuder, Cole Porter, George Gershwin, Duke Ellington, Henri Mancini, Lothar Brühne and Jean-Luis Gugliemi touch with their depth and invite to revel and dream.
