The Deutsches Theater München presents
CONEXIÓN
Tango Festival Munich
Sat+Sun: 2 pm and 8 pm
Let’s connect in Tango – From Munich to the world and back!
Experience a danced declaration of love to Tango Argentino. For four long days and nights, the heart of international tango beats in Munich. Dancers from all over the world come to the Isar to pay their respects to the most fascinating of all dances in our magnificent Silver Hall. The most sought-after maestros and maestras from Buenos Aires shake hands with highly renowned international couples and outstanding representatives of the Munich tango scene. Two Argentine orchestras and tango DJs from three continents will make the Ronda glow day and night.
Festival opens with a concert evening
To kick off the festival, the Hyperion Ensemble from Buenos Aires pays tribute to the great Argentine bandoneon player and composer Astor Piazolla. The live concert with dance show is aimed at all tango enthusiasts – even those who do not (yet) dare to step onto the dance floor.
The five milongas that follow are aimed at advanced tango dancers who want to take the opportunity to finally dance to live music again. If you are interested in the milongas, please contact the organiser at contact(at)munich-tango-festival.com .
