Folk music grooves

It really does. At the Bavarian folk dance with the Lower Bavarian Musikantenstammtisch, the dance floor bends for young and old. For 15 years, the brass band around clarinettist Josef Zapf has been cultivating the Bavarian tradition. In a friendly atmosphere, they now dance the night away in the Silbersaal.

It all began in Munich inns

Beyond stadl romance and traditionalist corsets, you meet the Lower Bavarian Musikantenstammtisch. This is where folk music grooves. What began in 2003 as a loose association of like-minded, young musicians from Lower Bavaria and the Upper Palatinate who enjoyed playing in Munich pubs with regulars’ tables has developed over the years into an established music band.

In the meantime, the Lower Bavarian musicians’ regulars’ table has been in existence for 15 years. Two broken dance floors, a Zwiesel finch and many a slain animal have already been on the musicians’ conscience and they have travelled far and wide. After Lebanon and Qatar, the Niederbayerische Musikantenstammtisch will now also perform in our Silver Hall.

It’s going to be fun

At the Bavarian Dance Evening, all generations are invited to shake a leg and let folk music live high. Eight young musicians around the well-known clarinettist Josef Zapf create a cosy atmosphere. It’s going to be fun!
