No story has shaped our view of the Southern states, the American Civil War, and the Reconstruction era as much as Margaret Mitchell’s literary one-hit wonder.

With just three actors, the independent Munich collective Opera Incognita presents a stage adaptation of this seemingly unstageable material. Larger than life, yet just big enough for the stage that means the world. This epic is both sad and beautiful, like a sunset during a well-traveled Indian summer.
