A tribute to the great violin virtuosos

An evening full of musical sophistication and tonal depth: internationally renowned violinist Ilona Cudek, long-time deputy concertmaster of the Munich Philharmonic Orchestra and soloist known as the ‘devil’s violinist’, invites you to a passionate salon evening together with the spirited and subtle pianist Maharani Chakrabarti. The programme focuses on works by Johannes Brahms, Fritz Kreisler and Henryk Wieniawski – compositions that combine virtuoso brilliance with poetic expressiveness and impressively bring the great traditions of violin artistry to life.

The musical salon in the Silbersaal

A fresh, contemporary concert format that delights audiences and the press alike: pianist Maharani Chakrabarti curates and hosts exciting themed evenings featuring performances by top-class guest artists. Udo Wachtveitl, Jutta Speidel and Julian Nida-Rümelin, among others, have already been part of the salon, as have first-class musicians. Music, literature, history and philosophy come together in cross-genre themes. The audience can enjoy the performances with a drink in the magnificent ambience of the Silver Hall.
