Thriller – Live was first seen in Germany in July 2009 and also caused frenetic excitement among the Munich audience. Since then, the show has captured the hearts of nearly 4.5 million fans in 33 countries around the world. As a spectacular tribute, Thriller – Live pays tribute to the exceptional talent Michael Jackson and brings the original feeling of his performances and videos back live on stage.
The original from London’s West End
Michael Jackson was and is a phenomenon. With his music and his unmistakable dance style, he is still not only one of the most successful, but also one of the most influential artists worldwide. Meanwhile, Thriller – Live is also a real phenomenon. At London’s West End, the tribute show even made it into the top 15 shows with the longest running times. The music and dance show presents over 30 songs from Michael Jackson’s unprecedented, more than 40-year career and lets the audience immerse themselves in the artistic legacy of the King of Pop: from the first successes with the Jackson 5 such as “ABC” or “Can You Feel It”, to world hits such as “Bad” and “Billie Jean”, to the songs from his legendary sixth studio album Thriller, which made him the most commercially successful artist of the 80s.
Michael Jackson’s energy live on stage
Five brilliant singers, together with a six-musician live band and extraordinary dancers, bring Michael Jackson’s incredible energy back to the stage live. Among the special highlights of the show are also the performances of a child actor, who as a young Michael becomes the darling of the audience every evening. Gary Lloyd and LaVelle Smith Jr. are responsible for the spectacular choreography – the latter is the original choreographer of the multi-award-winning video for “Dangerous” and a five-time winner of the MTV Video Music Awards. Thriller – Live is a true tribute to the unforgettable King of Pop.
