THE ELVIS PRESLEY TRIBUTE SHOW
Hits from the 50s & 60s
Homage to the King of rock’n’roll
The Elvis Presley Tribute Show takes audiences back to the times of the King of Rock’n’Roll. Munich-based musician Chris Aron will once again bring Mark Summers from England on stage to serve as the frontman. Summers won several Elvis-tribute-contests with his appearance and his incomparable voice. Audiences love his performances of hits like „Heartbreak Hotel“, „Hound Dog“, „Jailhouse Rock“ and „Don’t Be Cruel“. He is also good friends with Priscilla Presley. A Johnny Cash Special and no other than Linda Gail Lewis, sister of Jerry Lee Lewis, will serve as support acts.
a show just like Elvis’ performances
In just two years Elvis changed the music world between 1954 and 1956. Record-breaking sales figures, signature fashion in combination with rock’n’roll and merchandising – all that had never been seen before. And nobody knew back then how huge a star he was to become. In 1956, Elvis was on tour with his own show – a mixture of concert and revue. The Elvis Presley Tribute Show is just like Elvis‘ shows back then. With one exception: the King only ever appeared on stage for a maximum of 30 minutes per evening, the rest of the time was filled by support acts and a master of ceremonies. Mark „Elvis“ Summers and his band will play 60 minutes – twice as long as the King – and will perform songs from 1954 to 1963.
JOHNNY CASH SPECIAL AND LINDA GAIL LEWIS
Like at the original Elvis-shows, a master of ceremonies and thrilling support acts (including Chris Aron and The Croakers and the three Cento Sisters) ensure a varied programme and great entertainment. Everything’s authentic, from the outfits to the backing vocals.
Additionally, the band Johnny Trouble will present a Johnny Cash Special. And you can experience a true top star: Linda Gail Lewis. With her big brother Jerry Lee Lewis (hits like „Great balls of fire“ und „Whole lotta shakin’ goin’ on“), she’s performed countless times since the 60s. She also published LPs and Singles with him, some of which were produced by SUN Records. Linda met Elvis several times and she’ll certainly tell of these encounters.
