The Elvis Presley Roadshow
Deutsches Theater München is hosting
Memories of the King of Rock’n’Roll
The sound of the 50s and 60s is back in the Silbersaal with a special event: The Elvis Presley Roadshow by and featuring the well-known Munich musician Chris Aron, as part of The Elvis in Munich Days, presents exclusively the early hits of this era, such as ‘Heartbreak Hotel’, ‘Hound Dog’, ‘Jailhouse Rock’, ‘Don’t Be Cruel’ and many others. With Englishman Arron Walker, he brings an artist to the stage as front man who, with his looks and incomparable voice, is currently one of the top 5 tribute artists worldwide.
A show like back then
Within just two years, from 1954 to 1956, Elvis had fundamentally changed the music world and laid the foundation for a unique career. Record sales, fashion associated with music, merchandising – none of this had existed before. And at that time, no one could have guessed how big he would become later on. In 1956, Elvis was on tour with his own show – a mixture of concert and revue. The Elvis Presley Roadshow takes you back to that time and gives you the feeling of experiencing one of those tour shows live. Rockabilly, country, gospel, doo wop and lots of rock “n” roll!
The Elvis in Munich Days
As with the original shows in the 1950s, a presenter (Jacky Cleever) will guide the audience through the show, and other acts will provide a first-class supporting programme. Chris Aron and The Croakers will not only accompany Arron Walker, but will also perform as the support act alongside The Groovin’ Four and Jacky Cleever, among others. Also appearing this time: Sam Budja (singer of the band The Baseballs) on Friday and Dominic Möws on Saturday. There will also be an after-show party with DJ Lemon Squeezer and DJ SpinRound (aka Chris Aron) on the turntables in the Baroque Hall of the Deutsches Theater.
