The Deutsches Theater München presents a production by COFO Entertainment
A FEAST FOR ALL TINA FANS
This show is a must and a feast for all fans of Tina Turner, who can embark on a journey through five decades of the rock icon’s (music) history. And, of course, experience the greatest hits of the exceptional singer such as “Private Dancer” or “We Don’t Need Another Hero” and, of course, Simply The Best live on stage.
THE BEST MUSICAL TRIBUTE SHOW
The gripping and emotional musical biography Simply The Best was awarded “Best Musical Tribute Show” at the Reel Awards in Las Vegas and depicts the eventful life of the exceptional artist Tina Turner with lots of live music and impressive scenes for two hours: From initial success, the hard time with a drug-addicted and violent husband, the failure of a great love and finally, after the separation, Tina’s new beginning and rocket-like rise in the 80s to the film music of “James Bond 007-Goldeneye” in the mid-90s.
THE PERFECT DOPPELGANGER
Dorothea “Coco” Fletcher is considered one of the world’s best doubles. With a special timbre in her voice and an energetic performance, she brings the great rock diva back to the stage and raises the audience to storms of enthusiasm. “Tina Turner’s performances are very different from those of other artists. I have always been fascinated by her incredible energy and stage presence,” says the US-American.
EVENTFUL LIFE AND STELLAR CAREER
Anna Mae Bullock, born on 26 November 1939 in Brownsville, Tennessee (USA), raised in Nutbush, became a world star and legend as Tina Turner. From 1958, she performed alongside her future husband Ike Turner. In 1984 she launched an outstanding comeback as a solo artist. In 2009, the singer with the unmistakable timbre went on world tour for the last time. This tour was the grand finale of an extraordinary career: The Tina Turner Story is a tribute to the exceptional artist who shaped half a century of rock history – with over 180 million records sold, countless number one hits and chart positions such as “Simply The Best”, “Private Dancer” or “We Don’t Need Another Hero”.
