Even more culture on Munich’s most beautiful cabaret stage
Since the renovation of our theatre and its reopening in 2014, we have had Munich’s most beautiful cabaret stage in the Silbersaal alongside the main theatre. Cultural diversity is visible here. World music concerts, classical salon evenings and dance events take place as part of the Welt im Silbersaal series. We also present German singer-songwriters.
Salon – Musical and cultural salon evenings
We revive the salon culture of the 19th century and dedicate ourselves to the most diverse topics and artists in a musical and artistic way. Meet Schubert, Heinrich Heine, Kurt Weill and many more in the Silbersaal. Special thanks go to the pianist Maharani Chakrabarti, who will be playing a large part of the programme.

The Modern String Quartet and Maharani Chakrabarti will perform this special concert evening. Together with the pianist, the crossover artists between classical music, new music and jazz will interpret Modest Mussorgsky’s famous cycle Pictures at an Exhibition in an arrangement specially conceived for the Silbersaal. The synaesthetic evening is completed by projections of the pictures that inspired Mussorgsky’s composition. Founded in 1983, the Modern String Quartet is one of the most influential ensembles on the European crossover scene.
