QUEENZ OF PIANO
Classical Music That Rocks
THE NEW SHOW FOR THE FIRST TIME IN MUNICH
The Queenz of Piano combine the virtuosity and depth of classical music with the atmosphere of a pop concert. In times when there is no longer only Goethe, but also Fuck ju Goethe, the two pianists Jennifer Rüth and Ming break down the boundaries between Bach and Beats, serious and popular music, high and pop culture! In March 2020, their first album was released on Edel Kultur, together with Mousse T. (Tom Jones “Sex Bomb”, juror at DSDS) and Rene Möckel produced. With their new stage show, the duo is now coming to Munich for the first time.
BACH MEETS AC/DC
The Queenz of Piano combine Johann Sebastian Bach’s “Toccata” with “Thunderstruck” by AC/DC to create a brilliant piece of music. Beethoven’s “Ode to Joy” merges with the infectious joie de vivre of “Happy” (Pharrell Williams). Chopin’s “Revolutionary Etude” meets “Ey oft he Tiger” with energetic dance beats. In Ed Sheeran’s “Shape Of You” the grand piano becomes a percussion instrument for rousing grooves that create a crackling tension between soft tones and fast passages. The program of the two award-winning pianists is rounded off by their own compositions, in which they once again demonstrate their passionate temperament and musical understanding that transcends genre boundaries. Their original way of playing the piano is transformed by electronic sounds and live visuals into a new total work of art: a piano concert of the present! Virtuosic and thrilling at the same time!
A WORLDWIDE HIT
The Queenz feel at home on the most renowned stages and classical music festivals. They have performed at the Ruhr Piano Festival, the Schumannfest Bonn and the Bechstein Piano Festival, among others. With their energetic stage show and charming moderations, they also take the hearts of the audience by storm internationally (Taiwan, China, Hong Kong, England, Portugal, France, Poland, Netherlands, Switzerland, Austria), which is why their show now exists in four different languages. In 2018, the South China Morning Post headlined “A musical extravaganza” on the occasion of their 5-week tour of China. Invitations to the Acropolis Nice and the Classic Delights Festival in Hong Kong followed. They were selected to musically represent Germany at EXPO 2019 in Beijing.
