Phil it! doesn’t want to be “just” a cover band, but a faithful Phil Collins and Genesis experience that will stay in the audience’s memory for a long time to come and pays tribute to a great voice of the 80s song after song.
From Genesis to a solo career
When Philip David Charles “Phil” Collins was born in Chiswick (Great Britain) on January 30, 1951, no one could have imagined the brilliant success he would one day enjoy. Where for many a single number 1 hit marks the pinnacle of a career, Phil Collins is just getting started. Whether with Genesis or as a solo artist, the singer hits the mark with his music and captures the hearts of his fans. Whenever his hits are heard, whether on the radio, live or at home: people know his songs, his lyrics, sing along and connect their own stories with the music that has accompanied them through all situations in life for many years.
More than just a cover band
The musicians in the tribute band Phil it! also see themselves as Collins fans and have very individual connections to his songs. Their show is based on the true meaning of the term tribute, namely respect, recognition and humility towards a great artist. The overriding credo is to play the songs as they deserve to be played. In every note, Phil it! pays homage to the greatest hits in pop history. The musicians live every harmony, every line of text and every sound and only want one thing: for the audience to hear and feel the respect for the original. And if there are moments when someone in the audience closes their eyes and has memories of their own, then they have achieved their goal.
