A Ball with a Special Charm

We traditionally kick off our ball season with the Oide Wiesn Citizens’ Ball. In just a short time, this special ball has become a crowd-pleaser. Dance-loving guests in smart Bavarian traditional dress can once again look forward to first-class music and a varied program in a relaxed atmosphere—together with the Oktoberfest musicians and the Cagey Strings. Visitors can expect “a ball for everyone involved in Oktoberfest and for everyone who loves the tradition and flair of Oktoberfest, and especially the Oide Wiesn,” says Karl-Heinz Knoll, president of the Festring, who has made it his mission to preserve Bavarian customs, particularly those of Munich.
