Inclusive theater and charity evening in one
The inclusive Mon Theater of Aktion Sonnenschein has been around for 20 years. As the operator of a Montessori center of diversity with an inclusive kindergarten, a therapeutic day care center, and an inclusive school, Aktion Sonnenschein is committed to the joint education of children with and without special educational needs. Together with actress and cabaret artist Christine Eixenberger, the Mon Theater is presenting a gala live radio play version of its Christmas play KRIPPEWELLE in the Silbersaal to mark its anniversary.
A crazy story
KRIPPEWELLE is about a small family who set out in search of shelter around 2025 years ago, sudden labour pains, a flock of shepherds including an FSJ shepherd trainee, four wise men and a baby-murdering dictator. And it is about an inclusive theatre group and their patron Christine Eixenberger, who, 2025 years later, set out to bring this very story to the stage as a live radio play.
What the patron says
“Passion, individuality, curiosity, solidarity, and the necessary mischievousness—I see all of this when I look into the eyes of the children and educators who make Mon-Theater what it is. And that is exactly what it takes to live and love theatre!
Dear Mon Theatre, you find common ground despite everything that seems to divide us. You place great importance on solidarity, despite all adversities – that is what is needed in these turbulent times, when hatred, agitation, fear and uncertainty seem to have the upper hand. Thank you, dear Mon Theatre, for allowing me to be your patron.”
