Das Deutsche Theater München präsentiert eine Produktion des Improtheaterfestival München e.V.
This event is in the past.
Duel of the best improv teams in Europe
The ImproEM makes a stop at the Deutsches Theater. The grass is being rolled out and the
kick-off. Nobody knows what will happen, because everything is improvised. The best improvisation theatre groups in Europe will make sure of that. The ImproEM is taking place as a cultural supporting programme for the UEFA EURO 2024 in Munich. A battle like a football match. Only here the audience decides who goes through to the final.
Comedy in real time
Improv theatre offers the audience a unique and thrilling experience, because every performance is spontaneous and improvised. Everything happens in real time, the actors react to each other without a script and with unexpected twists and turns.
18 teams from Europe
The ImproEM promises humorous moments, international flair and entertainment at its best. Teams from Belgium, Bulgaria, Germany, England, Estonia, France, Greece, Italy, Liechtenstein, Austria, Poland, Portugal, the Republic of Ireland, Romania, Sweden, Switzerland, Spain and Turkey will be competing against each other.
Supporting programme for the European Football Championship
The championship will be framed by a varied programme, shows for schools, workshops and other activities for cultural exchange.
The ImproEM is supported by the Football & Culture Foundation and the German, the Department of Education and Sport, the Department of Culture of the City of Munich and numerous theatres in the city. Special thanks go to Fritz Kola, München Ticket, Erima and Flemings Hotels, who are also supporting the project. The European Improv Championship is organised by the non-profit association Improtheaterfestival München e.V.
