House
The Main Theatre
The Deutsches Theater is back at home – in the heart of the city in the Schwanthalerstraße. After being renovated for five years, during which performances were held in a theatre tent in Fröttmanning, the house shines with new splendor since its re-opening in January 2014.
The Auditorium
The Auditorium has become a „Lady in Red“. The curved lightning strips on the bright red walls and ceiling give a modern flair to this room so rich in history. In the Stalls all rows with uneven numbers are slightly elevated, starting with row 7. Row 4 is also elevated. From row 19 on all rows are elevated. If you are hearing impaired you can book seats equipped with an induction unit in the Stalls and Royal Circle to have an all-round perfect experience.
Foyer & Lounge
We welcome you in our foyer with an open and ample athmosphere. Elegant white pillars and a bright floor offer a modern flair, whilst red leather seats invite to linger. An ingenious lighting concept puts the foyer into different colours – always fitting to the current programme. Visitors can start an entertaining evening with a glass of sparkling wine before the show starts. Drinks are served at the bar which can be found at the rear end of the room and also offers snacks and srinks during intermission. You can also find further bars at the Stalls level and on Royal Circle level at the left-hand side. Upon request a little lounge with a separate bar can be rented for small private groups.
