Tribute to “Satchmo” Louis Armstrong
Together, the members of this group have 200 years of stage experience: The Hot Stuff Jazzband presents an interesting cocktail of Louis Armstrong’s most beautiful melodies. Look forward to unforgettable songs such as “Hello Dolly,” “Basin Street Blues,” “Why Don’t You Do Right,” “What A Wonderful World,” “C’est Si Bon,” “Oh, When The Saints,” and many more, performed by first-class musicians.
Hot Stuff Jazzband
Gary Todd on double bass is the groovy rock in the Hot Stuff band and has already played with Stan Kenton, Buddy Rich and Don Ellis. Trombonist Butch Kellem has given concerts with the ORF Big Band, Clark Terry and Dexter Gordon and is a member of Ambros Seelos’ orchestra. A mainstay of the band is top trumpeter Heinz Dauhrer, who has performed on stage with Al Porcino, Gloria Gaynor, Udo Lindenberg and the Spider Murphy Gang. On guitar, John Brunton is a permanent fixture who has performed with Reginald Workman and John Abercrombie. The line-up is completed by Hermann Roth on drums, who has already been engaged by Hugo Strasser, Max Greger and the Allotria Jazzband.
