With his program *Musical Memories: From Schlager to Hollywood*, Günther Grauer aims to take his audience on a journey aboard a very special “dream ship.” Through music, humor, charm, and true stories, he steers the Silbersaal all the way to America, where he introduces the audience to legendary stars like Dean Martin, Elvis, and Frank Sinatra. His goal: “To transport the audience into a musical world for a while and make them happy.”
From Innkeeper to Icon
Günther Grauer’s repertoire spans hundreds of songs across genres like Schlager, evergreens, and musical numbers. With hits ranging from the ’50s to today’s party anthems, he captivates a wide audience. Early on, he combined his successful career in the restaurant business with his love for Schlager music, becoming a cult figure not only in Munich. Since the early 2000s, he has hosted stars and starlets at his nightclub, Roy. As the long-time president of the Munich carnival society Narrhalla and thus an “ambassador of Bavarian joie de vivre,” he was awarded the Bavarian Order of Merit.
