Greta Marcolongo
The unique voice from “Frida Kahlo”
Greta Marcolongo returns to the Deutsches Theater in December for a special solo concert following her guest appearances as the singer in the Enrique Gasa Valga dance productions The Great Gatsby and Frida Kahlo. In addition to jazz, pop and swing rhythms, the Italian artist’s program will also include some of the most beautiful songs from the well-known repertoire of the two celebrated dance shows. Accompanied by six musicians, Greta Marcolongo will also present unreleased songs related to her recent European travels and productions.
However, the program will not only include English-language music with highlights such as “What a Diff’rence a Day Makes” or Duke Ellington’s “It Don’t Mean a Thing”. There will also be songs in four other languages. Italian classics such as “Mambo italiano” or “Guarda che luna”, which the singer will bring from her home country to the Silbersaal in her own unique way, will of course be at the forefront.
