Friedrich Ani trifft Franz Schubert
Das Deutsche Theater München veranstaltet
Music and poetry in harmony
‘Ani is the Schubert of crime fiction,’ wrote DIE ZEIT about the works of the Munich-based author. In the special atmosphere of the Silver Hall, poetry and music come together in a finely tuned interplay: Friedrich Ani, award-winning novelist and poet, reads from his poems. Pianist Maharani Chakrabarti, a highly sensitive and accomplished interpreter of Schubert, responds with selected works by the Romantic composer, whose soundscapes atmospherically enhance the depth of the texts. An evening between words and sound, timeless past and stirring present.
The musical salon in the Silbersaal
A fresh, contemporary concert format that delights audiences and the press alike: pianist Maharani Chakrabarti curates and hosts exciting themed evenings featuring performances by top-class guest artists. Udo Wachtveitl, Jutta Speidel and Julian Nida-Rümelin, among others, have already been part of the salon, as have first-class musicians. Music, literature, history and philosophy come together in cross-genre themes. The audience can enjoy the performances with a drink in the magnificent ambience of the Silver Hall.
