Wonderful literary blossoms, surprising intertwining stories, and complicated entanglements await you at this star-studded evening in the Silbersaal. The performers of the evening, soprano Lydia Teuscher and pianist Maharani Chakrabarti, have put together a passionate selection from the blossoms of art song.
A powerful duo
Born in Freiburg im Breisgau, soprano Lydia Teuscher is one of the greats in her field and is in demand internationally for her clear, versatile voice and her stylistically diverse repertoire. In Munich, she has performed at the Bavarian State Opera and at Klassik am Odeonsplatz with the BRSO, among others. At her side as presenter and at the piano is Maharani Chakrabarti, an experienced song pianist who has already performed with numerous renowned singers.
The Musical Salon in the Silver Hall
A fresh, contemporary concert format that delights audiences and the press alike: pianist Maharani Chakrabarti curates and hosts exciting themed evenings featuring performances by top-class guest artists. Udo Wachtveitl, Jutta Speidel, and Julian Nida-Rümelin, among others, have already been part of the salon, as have first-class musicians. Music, literature, history, and philosophy come together in cross-genre themes. The audience can enjoy the performances with a drink in the magnificent ambience of the Silver Hall.
