First World Problems

A good bad boy
Ballroom, Charleston, and Babylon Berlin meet stories from today’s Berlin: What to do when you’re burned out? What comes after a night at Berghain? At his concert in the Silbersaal, Björn Bergmann takes something old and turns it into something completely new.
Turning old into new
As a Berlin party boy, he celebrates his revival of the Roaring 20s with new songs – far away from ties and palace orchestras. His sound: “Urban Swing” of the current 20s. With a healthy cultural appropriation, the trained jazz singer takes something old and cheekily turns it into something completely new. His album of the same name, First World Problems, will be released in spring 2026.
Swing for beginners
Bergmann spreads nostalgia and good cheer at his performances. His voice carries and embraces, his band swings and captivates, his humor defies gravity. Dancing, but in a completely different way than you know it? If you’ve never had anything to do with swing before, that could change fundamentally after Björn Bergmann’s concert at the Silbersaal.
