Music, dance, and comedy. Cutting edge, entertaining, and colorful. Open, graceful, and confident. Their Majesties Ruby Tuesday and Vicky Voyage invite you to a drag revue in a class of its own. Together with a top-class ensemble of drag artists from near and far, they will fill the Silbersaal with all the colors of the rainbow on two evenings.
Fabulous show with a royal cast
The Ukrainian powerhouse duo Samantha Jackson & Panas Poltawa bring dramatic operas and big emotions to the stage, while Italian sensation Leila Yarn uses her dance skills to prove just how sexy and artistic hand-crocheted creations can be. London’s eccentric milkman, Dairy King, whisks you away into his wonderfully bizarre world and leaves no eye dry. The charismatic Rachel Intervention combines razor-sharp comedy with high-fashion glamour at an absolutely world-class level. The musical depth of the Munich scene is powerfully presented by Piana Electric, drawing on the influence of their South African roots, as well as Alixir, who enchants with her crystal-clear voice and virtuoso dexterity. And to ensure that order is maintained in the Silbersaal despite all the extravagance, Scary Jary keeps the stage tidy with a stern gaze and plenty of humor.
What is drag?
The origins of drag can be traced back to ancient times. To this day, drag artists use makeup and fabulous outfits to challenge gender stereotypes, prejudices, and clichés. Drag shows foster discussion about gender roles, identity, and diversity, while offering the audience plenty of fun, entertainment, and surprises. With Drag Royalty, a diverse drag show will take place at our venue for the second time as part of Munich’s Christopher Street Day—with the kind support of the Munich Department of Culture and CSD Munich.
