A new case for the detectives

The Three Investigators – are the three young detectives Justus Jonas, Peter Shaw and Bob Andrews, the most successful and popular detective trio in world literature. Robert Arthur conceived the first story in 1964 and won Alfred Hitchcock as “patron” for the first books. After many cases by other authors, In the Eye of the Storm is a particularly exciting case for children aged 10 and over.

Accident on the beach

It’s summer in Rocky Beach, a small town on the Californian Pacific coast near Los Angeles. Peter is once again having a row with Kelly because he is spending too much time on The Three Investigators cases and not enough time for their relationship. Peter wants to spend a day together on a beach popular with surfers to smooth things over and ride a few waves on the side. But then a boy is seriously injured. Peter just manages to save him from drowning. And it seems to be no coincidence that the boy has turned up here. “You have to take the case for me! Find Finnley! He’s in danger!” he says to Peter with the last of his strength.

Investigating under time pressure

Shortly afterwards, the seriously injured surfer loses consciousness. But who is Finnley? And what danger is he in? Justus, Peter and Bob set off on a fast-paced search across Rocky Beach. In the course of their investigations, The Three Investigators encounter a mysterious pursuer, get quite disgusted and find strange notes. Will the three friends manage to find Finnley in time and warn him? Time is running out, because a huge storm is approaching…
