As the sun rises over the savannah and Rafiki’s call rings out, a very special concert evening begins. *The Lion King – Live in Concert* moves the audience not only through the music of Sir Elton John and Hans Zimmer. Around 80 performers from the Cinema Festival Symphonics also give you goosebumps. They provide the rich, full sound that, combined with the animations on screen, makes the familiar film melodies shine in a whole new light.

Famous Film Music

African rhythms combined with epic melodies: the Oscar-winning soundtrack by film music legend Hans Zimmer has been a defining feature of the globally successful animated film *The Lion King* for almost 30 years now. Together with Sir Elton John’s timeless hits, this forms the basis for *The Lion King – Live in Concert*. And whether it’s ‘Hakuna Matata’, ‘The Circle of Life’ or ‘Is This Love?’, the beautiful voices of the choir and the soloists breathe life into Simba, Nala and other well-known characters. The live orchestra is also right at the heart of the action on stage.

Captivating sound

All the performers of the Cinema Festival Symphonics sing and play under the baton of Stephen Ellery from London. Together, they have already thrilled audiences with concert performances of the film scores for *Game of Thrones*, *Star Wars* and *Harry Potter*. The ensemble is renowned for its faithful and powerful sound. The concert is complemented by artistic animations on the screen.
