Karl Valentin Order for Christoph Maria Herbst
The Munich carnival society Narrhalla traditionally celebrates its grand soirée Münchner Leben (Munich Life) in our ballroom. Once again, one of the highlights is the presentation of the Karl Valentin Order. In 2026, it will go to actor, voice actor and author Christoph Maria Herbst, who has won the German Comedy Award several times and the Bavarian Film Award in 2025. The laudatory speech will be given by author and Grimme Award winner Moritz Netenjakob, with whom Herbst always goes on tour for a few weeks each year, delighting audiences with ‘Das ernsthafte Bemühen um Albernheit’ (The Serious Pursuit of Sillyness).
Prince’s waltz and guard dances
At the Narrhalla’s grand gala ball, guests can once again look forward to a colourful programme with many guests, the dance show of the Prince’s Guard and the performance of the flag regiment. And, of course, the traditional waltz of the official prince and princess of the Narrhalla and the state capital, Stephan I & Samantha I, is not to be missed.
