Der Geist der Weihnacht
Deutsches Theater München presents an event organized by Festspielhaus Füssen GmbH
The Musical That Warms the Heart
Charles Dickens’s famous 1843 story “A Christmas Carol” has lost none of its relevance since its publication. The musical *The Spirit of Christmas* transports audiences to 19th-century London during the holiday season and tells this story as a heartwarming experience for Christmas fans of all ages.
Miserly and Lonely
The miserly pawnbroker Ebenezer Scrooge doesn’t celebrate Christmas; instead, he sees it as just another opportunity to charge people even higher interest rates. But then, on Christmas Eve, he receives a visit from the ghost of his equally miserly but now deceased friend Marley. His mission is to show Ebenezer that it is more rewarding to give love and joy than to hoard material wealth.
Love as the True Treasure
With the help of a mysterious angel, Marley and Ebenezer embark on a journey through Ebenezer’s past, present, and future, until he finally realizes that true wealth lies in the people who feel love. For love, when shared, grows ever greater. A new set design, spectacular projections, and several musical and choreographic innovations make this production an unforgettable experience for the whole family.
