Puppet theater for children from 5

After the great success of Der kleine Rabe Socke, the Kammerpuppenspiele Bielefeld are coming to the Silbersaal with another funny puppet show. Das Sams – Eine Woche voller Samstage, based on the novel of the same name by Paul Maar, is a story about friendship, courage and self-confidence for children aged five and over.

On Saturday comes the Sams

The sun shines on Sunday. Mr. Mon comes on Monday and I’m on duty on Tuesday. It’s thundering on Thursday. Friday is my day off. Sams comes on Saturday.

Martin Taschenbier is a fearful person. He is afraid when people are loud and scold him. One Saturday, Mr. Taschenbier meets Sams. The little pot-bellied creature with the blue wish dots and red hair never leaves Mr. Taschenbier’s side and even calls him “Papa”. Strange things happen this week. Sams eats the city forest, drives a sales clerk in the department store to despair and brings a “live” polar bear into Papa Taschenbier’s room. At the beginning of the week, Mr. Taschenbier wanted to get rid of Sams at all costs. But the longer Sams stays with him, the more self-confidence he gains. After a week full of Saturdays and a lot of wish points, Martin Taschenbier is no longer a fearful person.

Chamber puppet theater Bielefeld

The Kammerpuppenspiele Bielefeld bring books to life. Following the great success of Der kleine Rabe Socke, the ensemble is also presenting two funny puppet theaters in the Silbersaal in the new season: Das Sams – Eine Woche voller Samstage and Der kleine Drache Kokosnuss. With fun and playfulness, impressive large figures, loving table puppets and a great stage design, it takes young and old on exciting and educational adventures.
