Crossing Life Lines
When world music meets improvisation
Mulo Francel (saxophonist with the band Quadro Nuevo) has been curating the world music series in the Silbersaal since 2022. For this evening, he has invited outstanding creative personalities from the Polish music scene to take to the stage. You can look forward to exciting musical encounters between virtuosos whose biographical roots lie in different regions of Europe. They come together in compositions inspired by the life stories of those involved.
Virtuoso ensemble
Featuring Izabella Effenberg, who creates blossoming soundscapes on a colorful array of instruments, pianist Krzysztof Kobylinski, who opens the evening with individually atmospheric piano improvisations, and percussionist Patrycia Betley, who presents her own fascinating rhythms.
In this spontaneous concert encounter, the musicians unleash their creative powers and bounce musical ideas off each other on the playing field of ideas typical of contemporary jazz: Connecting the world with music!
Entertaining moderation
Mulo Francel and double bassist Sven Faller will entertain the audience with short conversations and stories throughout the evening. They have been developing the Crossing Life Lines concept for several years. The music album of the same name was highly praised in the trade press.
