Budapester Operetten

Through his operettas such as Die Csárdásfürstin, Emmerich Kálmán became one of the most important composers of this genre in the world. Many of his works are timeless classics. We are delighted to be able to present Die Csárdásfürstin in a completely new production for the first time in Germany as part of our operetta summer.

Land des Lächelns is one of Franz Lehár’s works of the interwar period that is stylistically far removed from the frivolous Viennese operetta of the turn of the century. But even with this new tone, Lehár achieved worldwide success, which continues to this day, not least because of the hit song “Dein ist mein ganzes Herz”. We are delighted to be able to present this great representative of the genre as part of our operetta summer with an operetta of a somewhat different kind.
