Astor und Schmidbauer
Das Deutsche Theater München präsentiert eine Veranstaltung von COFO Entertainment und Backstage Promotion
Two entertainers and their songs
They are undoubtedly the most popular veterans of Bavarian entertainment: Willy Astor and Werner Schmidbauer. This is the first time they have appeared on stage together, and they will be performing their best songs over the course of one evening. Some of these songs will even be heard live on stage for the very first time.
Anniversary as a singer-songwriter
During his last solo live tour, enthusiastic fans kept approaching Werner Schmidbauer with requests for songs. So, for him, it was high time for a ‘Momentnsammler’ tour featuring not only his most popular but also his quirkiest ‘Schmidl’ songs. After all, he’ll be celebrating his 50th anniversary as a singer-songwriter in 2026. Over the years, he’s written well over 200 songs, some of which he hasn’t performed live for ages, and others he’s never even played on stage. Werner Schmidbauer is now doing just that, with unlimited freedom and maximum spontaneity.
Wordplay without AI
Songwriter Willy Astor is also showcasing the best of his musical ingenuity this evening. He presents songs and ballads without artificial intelligence, but with craftsmanship and a way with words. He has been a fixture on Munich’s cabaret scene since 1983, and his wordplay has already achieved cult status. But it is not just his wit that has brought him success: his instrumental albums have been delighting music lovers far beyond the borders of Bavaria for years. He thus spans a wide spectrum, from humorous cabaret artist to ‘philosophising’ musician.
